Chapter 7, Activities and Materials for Faculty Development, provides department leaders and/or queer task force members with tangible activities for engaging teacher educators in initial conversations centered on gender and sexual orientation. It offers tools to assess school climate, analyze current policies, evaluate teacher candidate supports, and develop ongoing faculty development. Accompanied by a comprehensive Companion Website, the hope is that departments or schools of education with adapt the content and methods presented in this chapter to fit the unique needs of their institution.
