Chapter 3 Reflection Questions

  1. What does it look and feel like to teach from a critical social theorist’s perspective?
  2. How can teachers use queer theory to create inclusive and accepting learning environments for all students and families?
  3. Compare critical social theory and queer theory. Where do the two schools of thought intersect and where do they disjoin?
  4. What is your interpretation of the Queer Inclusion in Education Framework (see Appendix A)? Which element, or pathway, do you feel most comfortable implementing? Which do you feel least comfortable implementing and why?
